It was intended to do good, but the programmer made a mistake and it got out of hand, becoming viral.

Не думаю что теперь червь для чего-либо опасен - переход на 64 бита ознаменовал новую эру, ушло много веб-протоколов, пойди найди дисковод для флоппи 5,25. Да и сомневаюсь в сохранности программы на носителе, даже если он хранился в музее большую часть времени. Но как символ, материальная память - вот это то, что надо.
